The North American Raspberry and Blackberry Association recently held their annual meeting in Ventura CA. Both raspberry and blackberry production are BIG in the state. The vast majority of raspberry production is under tunnels, and you will see areas like this in the picture above what it looks like from the road.

Tunnels are the preferred (only) way that raspberries are grown in California. If you want to learn more about how they do caneberries out there, here are a few good resources.
